Town Alexandria. This project proves it is possible to obtain a modern gourmet
kitchen while keeping with the period styling of the home.
Washington, D.C. Once unappealing and extremely cramped,
this 1920's kitchen and former pantry has been transformed into an open and
inviting family gathering space. With the help of some careful engineering,
Studio 27 and Kingston were able to replace several load-bearing walls with a
hidden steel beam, allowing for the "elbow room" so desperately
needed.

As part of an award-winning renovation, this modernization of a 1920's kitchen
features in slab floor heat, a large custom island with bar sink and smart house
hook-ups. A renovated clerestory window wall overlooks the stone patio with a
waterfall. The lighting scheme features cabinet, cove, and controlled low
voltage mood lighting.
